Your privacy in Nourmetric
This policy explains what information Nourmetric processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you when you use the website and nutrition-tracking app.
Information you provide
We process account details such as your email address, display name, and sign-in method. If you use Google sign-in, Google provides the basic profile information you approve: your name, email address, and profile picture. Nourmetric does not receive your Google password.
We also store the nutrition information you choose to enter, including profile and goal settings, food diary entries, water intake, weight records, and optional progress information. If you use an authenticator app, the service stores the security information needed to verify your codes.
Photos, labels, and barcodes
When you choose photo search or Nutrition Facts scanning, the selected image is processed to identify a product or extract nutrition details. Product photos sent for AI-assisted search are analyzed to prepare a search and are not retained by Nourmetric after that request. Nutrition-label OCR is processed on your device where the feature indicates that behavior. Barcode numbers may be checked against food-data providers and a shared product cache; cached product records are not linked to the user who first found them.
Launch waitlist
If you join the pre-launch waitlist, we use your email address only to confirm your request and notify you about Nourmetric product availability. Waitlist membership does not create a Nourmetric account, profile, Diary, or subscription. We do not send waitlist email addresses to general analytics, and you can unsubscribe without signing in.
How we use information
- Provide sign-in, account security, synchronization, and account recovery.
- Calculate and display calories, nutrients, goals, hydration, scores, trends, and progress.
- Resolve foods and improve product matching using privacy-minimized outcome data.
- Protect the service, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability.
We do not sell personal information or use personal nutrition records for third-party advertising.
Service providers and sharing
Nourmetric uses service providers for Google sign-in, authentication, database storage, website hosting, food-data lookup, and AI-assisted image or product analysis. They process information only to provide those functions under their own security and privacy obligations. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate safeguards.
Nourmetric does not share your private nutrition progress with a coach or another user unless you explicitly choose a future sharing feature. Coach Mode is not currently a professional access channel.
Storage, security, and retention
Account and nutrition records are protected with encrypted connections, authenticated access, and database rules designed to keep each user's records separate. No online service can promise absolute security.
We retain account and nutrition records while your account is active and as needed to operate, secure, and meet legal obligations for the service. Privacy-minimized operational events may be retained without Diary contents or raw uploaded images. When you delete your account through Account & Privacy, Nourmetric deletes the account and associated app records, subject to limited backup, fraud-prevention, or legal retention requirements.
Your choices
You can review and change profile settings, export your Nourmetric records, disconnect Google access in your Google Account, enable optional two-step verification, or permanently delete your Nourmetric account from Account & Privacy. You may also contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or another privacy request.
Children
Nourmetric is a general-wellness service and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.
Changes and contact
